 Here at WAY-FM I am so pleased to be surrounded by a bunch of young, tech savvy, men and women who are helping to shape our future. I meet regularly with this group comprised of WAY-FM staff from many of our stations around the country. This New Media Committee led by our New Media Director, Dan Gross, keeps me up to speed on new developments in social networking, new media gadgets and best practices for this ministry. This is so important to me and our Board of Directors because we strive to always remain relevant to the youth and young adult culture of today.Some of the changes they have helped to bring to WAY-FM include greater interaction with our listeners through Facebook and Twitter. A listing of artist and song titles on wayfm.com covering all the song information heard that hour. We are also about to unveil a new custom iPHONE app and we’re working to make each station’s online audio stream sound better than ever before. Over 20 years ago when we first started WAY-FM with a single FM radio station, I never would have dreamed that one day we could be heard anywhere on the planet on a hand held mobile device or a desk top. The impact across the globe is growing. Recently, I was so encouraged to read this email………….. I just thought I should write you and let you know how much of an impact Way FM has had on my life! I'm 21 years old and currently living on an Army base in Germany. My husband is active duty and deployed in Iraq right now. We have a wonderful 10 month old son. My husband has been gone for almost 9 months now and it has been so hard to be all alone in a foreign country. I have only been able to visit my family twice and my best friend just moved back to the states. Just when I was feeling like my burdens couldn't be any heavier I started thinking about listening to Way and went to your website. Just being able to hear the word on the way, the music, and all of the positive messages has given me such hope! The days seem shorter now that my BEST FRIEND Jesus Christ is back in my life on a daily basis. Way FM has helped me feel like I'm not alone and has given me the strength to survive the last few months of the deployment! - Emily. Thanks to you for praying and supporting WAY-FM.
